The start capacitors are connected in line with the start winding and therefore come off the starting relay after starting the motor.
The starting capacitors are electrolytic type and may not be kept under tension over a few seconds.
If for some reason the electrolytic capacitor remain under voltage in the circuit will be destroyed.
When a capacitor is damaged it must be replaced with another one with the same characteristics (voltage and capacitance).
